Productivity software is a category of application programs that help users produce things such as documents, database, graphs, worksheets, charts, digital paintings and videos and presentations (Roused, 2015). Some examples of productivity software are excel, powerpoint, word, kid pix, publisher.
Effective and efficient patient care in any health institution depends on reliable communication technologies. Doctors, nurses and all other medical personnel are continually requesting and sharing patient important information to the ongoing care of each patient. When devices are enhanced with powerful hospital communication software, its expected to experience faster connections and productivity (RMS Omega Healthcare Technologies, 2019).

I would utilize productivity software in the clinical area for receiving and sharing information from multiple sources, including patients, labs, medical journals, drug reference books and colleges. It will also be used for documentation of patient care (Sampson, 2016), and for calculating daily ward use stock by organizing data in rows and columns in a worksheet with the use of spreadsheet software. An example of productivity software for the clinical area is MS Word to aid in editing, storing, creating, prescribing Rx.
Productivity Software for collaboration
With the use of productivity software I would convey information through video conferencing among patients and communicate with other members of the healthcare team to enable wholesome care even when they're outstretched in different locations. These software will be used for sending and receiving emails, instant messaging of pertinent information and group chats (Sampson, 2016).
Productivity software in professional development and knowledge dissemination
I would use Microsoft excel to easily create tables and charts.With the use of this productivity software, additional quality time will be spend on patient care and there would be reduction of errors in filing, it's time consuming and reduction in excessive paper work (Sampson, 2016). My workflow will be enhanced thus enabling me to create meaningful interactions that help patients feel better cared for and more satisfied.
Powerpoint will be used to aid in delivery of presentations in order to educate patients by encouraging them to improve and maintain their health.
